Re-Oxidizing

Blackened or oxidized silver is genuine sterling silver, but its outer surface has been purposely darkened via a chemical process. This essentially speeds up the natural tarnishing process, creating an attractive dark patina, which consists of a layer of silver sulfide on the exterior of the metal. Unfortunately this layer can get removed quite easily by other chemicals you might either encounter on a daily basis depending on your profession or just in certain jewellery cleaning methods.

This is where we come in, our process involves cleaning the piece of jewellery and fully dipping it in oxidizing solution. We then polish up the raised surfaces to create that two-tone / shadowy look. 

If you send your piece to us we aim to have this done within 3-4 working days and the item will be returned to you using Royal mail's special delivery service. 

Process -

• Send the piece to us using a tracked and insured method
• Please include return address and contact details with the item(s)
• We work our magic
• We then return your item via a Royal Mail
